For Kendrick Lamar’s The Big Steppers Tour, FRAMEWORX developed a visual language centered around shadow play, using projection to transform silhouettes and negative space into an expressive part of the performance. The team created custom camera effects and VFX that extended the visual language beyond the physical stage, manipulating live imagery and projected shadows to create moments that felt graphic, surreal, and deeply connected to the performance.
Saturday Night Live
For Kendrick Lamar’s Saturday Night Live performance of “Rich Spirit” and “N95,” FRAMEWORX developed a visual language centered around shadow play and projection. Inside a stark three-walled box, Kendrick’s projected shadow moved independently from his physical movements, creating an uncanny separation between performer and silhouette. Custom camera effects, VFX, and precisely timed projection transformed the minimal environment into an expressive visual system that evolved with the performance.
